Progress and Commitment

Progress & Commitment

How often do I need to train to make progress?

We recommend attending once or twice a week to build consistent momentum.

Even once a week can create noticeable improvement, especially for beginners. What matters most is regularity — and enjoying the process.

What does the belt system look like at Ju Jitsu Rugby?

"Our belt system follows traditional Ju Jitsu progression, moving through coloured belts before reaching black belt level.

Each belt represents more than just technique — it reflects your effort, attitude, and ability to apply what you’ve learned.

Kids also earn tags along the way, which helps them stay motivated and see their progress step-by-step.

Do you have grading or exams?

"Yes, we hold regular gradings to help students move forward — but we don’t charge for kids’ gradings.

Gradings are a great way to recognise progress and build confidence. For adults, there are clear criteria for each level, and we’ll help you prepare when the time is right.

What happens if I miss a class?

"Life gets busy, and we understand.

If you miss a class, just come back to the next one — no pressure or judgment. We’ll help you catch up and keep making progress at your own pace.

How do I stay motivated over time?

Staying motivated starts with enjoying what you’re doing.

We keep classes fresh, challenging, and supportive. You’ll be surrounded by people who encourage you and instructors who guide you.

Plus, we set short-term goals, offer clear milestones, and celebrate your wins — big or small.
